The Journey Continues...

Losing 138 lbs in 17 months leaves a person with a lot of saggy skin... YUK!

I knew going into this journey that I would have a lot of loose skin once I lost weigh. I am 43 now, not as young as I used to be and lets face it... the skin is not so forgiving of the years:)

I interviewed 3 surgeons prior to making a decision. Keep in mind if you are considering plastic surgery or any kind of surgery, You are the doctors client, he is not God or even close, you pay his bills... INTERVIEW them! It is important that you find someone you are comfortable with and that you like their work. Ask questions, take a list with you so you don't forget anything. Ask to see pictures of their work and don't let them rush you! Ask them the cost of the procedure if your insurance does not cover any of it. Mine did not.

To make a long story short, I interviewed 3 surgeons and ended up going back to the first surgeon that I interviewed, Dr. Basner. He made me feel very comfortable and at ease. He took his time with me and answered all of my questions. He listened to what I wanted to have done and then shared with me what he would like to do and how the procedure would work, what the recovery would be like and what I could expect.

Dr. Adam Basner - http://www.drsklatskyandbasner.com/ - I really like Dr. Basner! He is very picky about his work. I can see that he takes pride in his results, this means a lot to me! Him and his staff are very friendly, warm and caring. My insurance did not cover any of this. I really did not expect them to. It is good practice to ask any surgeon when you call for a consultation if they accept your insurance or not and if they will help you fight for coverage.

To keep this page short, I am going to list the procedures below and you can click on the link to view more detail and images. Please email me if there are any questions I can help you with. Keep in mind that I can only share my experience and I am not a doctor so I offer no medical advice. Ask your doctor if you have medical questions, it is always safer that way.:)
